I did a lot of reading this weekend.
Currently, I'm reading
The Shop at Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber. It's a cute story about a two time cancer survivor opening up a little knitting shop. She teaches a beginning knitting class on baby blankets. She gets three students. These women are all very different. They all have problems in their lives. It's a great book, even without the knitting. (The knitting is just
icing on the cake!) I also have
A Good Yarn by Debbie Macomber to read next. I found these at
BJ's. I found out while looking up these links that she has third book about this knitting store. It's called
Back on Blossom Street. I only see it in hardback right now and I hate hardback books. I think they remind me too much of text books. LOL
I finished reading
Dry by Augusten Burroughs. It was better than Running with Scissors. I meant to bring it in for
cara_angelica , but i forgot. :( I loved this book. It goes through his trial and tribulations of being an alchoholic. He goes to rehab and
AA. While reading this book, I figured out my problem. I'm addicted to food. The only difference is that
Augusten can stay away from alcohol. I don't have that same luxury with food. :( I started
WW. I think it's the same as
AA, but with a different addiction. I really think I lost some weight this week. I won't know for sure until tomorrow evening. I weigh in on Wednesday evenings. I hate making lists! :(
I also bought
Magical Thinking by Augusten Burroughs. I'll let you know how that book is when I get to read it.
